IGTC 2011: Mid-Season Review

Wednesday, August 10th, 2011

Tiger Express is involved in this Summer’s main LFS endurance league, the International GT Championship. For its fifth season, the league managed to attract a very appealing field, with former champions CoRe Racing, spdo Racing and Conquest Racing coming back, and defending against some of simracing’s finest teams(such as My3id Gaming, ineX Racing, Sonicrealms Racing or RaceStar ConverTTable), trying to gain their first crown. This season will be the shortest of the IGTC history, with 4 races of 4 hour each, all on open configuration tracks.

The 2010-2011 season of the Masters of Endurance carries on, with still Tiger Express Motorsports doing its best at the back of the GT2 class, in the pinacle of LFS’ league racing scene.

MoE 10-11 Round 1: Baptism Of Fire

Tuesday, December 14th, 2010

Saturday 4th December 2010 saw Tiger Express‘ first ever participation in a Masters of Endurance race, with round 1 of the 2010-2011 season, the 12 Hours of Kyoto GP Long.  Even if this wasn’t a perfect round for TEM, the orange and black team has fullfilled its aim: to prove it deserves its MoE GT2 seat.

Masters of Endurance, Here We Come!

Monday, November 29th, 2010

After one season as midfielders in both Grand Touring Amateur League and International GT Championship(with a poduim in both leagues), the next logical step for Tiger Express Motorsports was the legendary Masters of Endurance(MoE), the pinacle of endurance racing on Live for Speed. It is now done, as Tiger Express has received a seat in GT2 for the 2010-2011 Season. The result of more than a year of hard work in endurance racing.

Round 2 of the 2011 Grand Touring Amateur League season took part on the 20th November 2010 at the very FXR-unfriendly Westhill International circuit, for a 3 Hours race. No miracle for Tiger Express: it was an hard race, with a frustrating result in the end.

After a short pause following the end of the IGTC season in early September, endurance racing is back with the LFS Endurance Series and the Grand Touring Amateur League which both kicked off recently. They should be followed soon by the Desire of Patience Tour and the legendary Masters of Endurance, though Tiger Express isn’t sure yet to be involved in those leagues, for different reasons.

Nevertheless, here’s a report of the Grand Touring Amateur League’s 2011 round 1 and the LFS Endurance Series‘ season 5 round 1

Racing Minds’ 2010 16 Hours Race: The Great FE4R

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

Last week-end saw the most prestigious and biggest LFS endurance single event of the year: the annual 16 Hours Race, held by the German Racing Minds team. For its 4th edition since its creation in 2007, the admins decided to spice the things up a little bit, holding the event at LFS’ “Green Hell”: Fern Bay Black Reversed.

Out of the traditional GT1, GT2 and NGT car classes, Tiger Express decided not to choose, for it’s first ever attendance in this classic race: it was the only team with CoRe Racing and Absolute-Beginners.nl to have one car in each class.

Tiger Express Motorsports’ First Birthday Event – 2 Hours of Aston Historic(as4)

Sunday, August 8th, 2010

Hello there,

We at Tiger Express Motorsports decided to make an event celebrating the first anniversary of our LFS activities. It was indeed on the Friday, August, 7th 2009 that for the first time two TEM cars, driven by Yann Laprevotte and Chris Wilkinson, got on the grid of their first official event, the Round 1 of the Formula Junior league. This evening of racing went rather well since Yann took this day the first official podium of the squad after finishing 3rd of the feature race.

New Dimension Racing 2010 Summer Event: 2 Hours of South City Long Reversed, Race Review

Saturday, August 7th, 2010

New Dimsension Racing has had its bi-annual 2 hours “half-fun race”(to quote CoRe’s Sascha Riegler) earlier this week. Like the 2009 Christmas Event, it’d be a multi-class race, with TBO and GT2 running together. Tiger Express would have 3 GT2 cars, for Domi, Mike(FZR for both) and Lims(FXR), while Yann would stick on the TBO class with his FXO wearing the historical livery he had for the 2009 TBO Challenge. The event would see so much enthousiasm that the organisers would decide to have 2 servers instead of 1.

IGTC Round 5: Race Review

Saturday, August 7th, 2010

LFS‘ most prestigious single class endurance league, the International GT Championship, saw the 5th round of its 2010 season, held at Kyoto GP Long Reversed, for a 4 hours race. An important decision was made on the IGTC squad before the race: it would be renamed to Tiger Express Motorsports & Friends, to allow Team Inferno’s Radek Müller to drive in some of the 3 remaining rounds, in order to void IGTC’s strict regulations on ringers.
